How to read the chart

DEGRADATION (DEG): Measure the glove degradation grate, depending the time which is in contact with the chemical. Its qualified as follows:

1= Very little/none degradation after 24 h.
2 = Moderate degradation after 24 h.
3 = Severe degradation after 24 h.
4 = Severe degradation after 60 mins.
NR = Not recomended.

PERMEATION: Is when some chemical molecules pass through the glove material. Permeation data compromise two measures:

  • BREAKTHROUGH TIME (BT)
  • The time it takes for a chemical to pass through
    The glove measured in minutes.
  • PERMEATION RATE (PR)
  • The rate that the chemical transmits through the glove
    After breakthrough, measured in mgs. per m2 per minute.

Based on above mentioned results, we make the following guide depending on the suitability of the glove for every different chemical.

 

= Excellent performance.
= Good performance.
= Fair performance.
= Not recomended.
